Domestic Violence Awareness Month, something extremely close to my heart. I’ve typed my abuser’s name out so many times to finally set myself free but I just can’t quite expose it yet. I am 1 in 4, and it can happen to anyone. Please remember, it’s not as easy as ‘just leave’. 💜 Domestic violence affects millions of people, both women and men, of every race, religion, culture and status.   Warning signs of an abusive relationship We all have arguments with our partners and family members occasionally, and sometimes we say or do hurtful things that we later regret and apologise for. But if this behaviour is becoming a regular pattern, then it may be a sign of domestic abuse. Abuse comes in many different forms and includes more than just physical violence. It’s stalking, manipulation, shouting, humiliation, coercion, threats and isolation. It can also be stealing your salary, checking phones and social networks or calling someone stupid so often they believe it... I'm using stupid
